Easter Weekend at the airport

A five day weekend meant lots of time to relax and at times spend a few hours taking pictures of the planes going about their business. I had also discovered a new spot to photograph from so I was keen to give it a try. I am quite please with the new angles and positions that can be achieved.

An insight

This is my first attempt at writing a blog. I have wanted to do this for a long time but have always found a reason not to start.

What is it all about and why should you read any further? A simple answer is photography. If you have an interest in looking at or taking photographs then you should find something to keep you interested. As this progresses I may even undertake some how to articles, time will tell!

I have had a camera for most of my life and have taken many photos but only really started to understand and take it seriously about eight years ago at my first airshow in New Zealand.

My digital journey started in about 2002 and many upgrades have lead me on a very enjoyable path of learning and improving along the way.

I have a very varied subject list, aircraft is near the top, the world of macro has just begun and if I was asked what my preference was my answer would be if it looks interesting I will give it a go!

I have been very fortunate to have some of my work published, I contribute images to our national Heritage buildings foundation, NZ Civil Aircraft blog and share my work on flickr.
